Raksha Bandhan - Brother-Sister's Gracious Bond

Evening clock and the orange sky
Birds were chirping and the Sun was fine
Temple's melody and windy chimes
The moment was blossoming with fragrant vines

The time was for the eve entreaties
Me, mom and dad had taken seat to plea
I didn't know about my parents wishes
But I requested God for a sweet buddy

Days were passed and the hour arrived
You were born and felicity circularise
I jumped with vitality and touched your hand
You peeped at me and I gazed at your face

Your sparkling eyes and your radiant hands
You were twisting softly in our mother's lap
Your cuddling body and twinkling touch
Made me to love you with more natural heart

Each Raksha-Bandhan reminds me your first presence
And this day, of course being crucial day for siblings
Tilak on forehead and tying the rakhi on wrist
The moment just embraced with a heart-pondering environs

On this rakhi too, we couldn't be together
Unlike those past years, the celebrations couldn't be real
But one thing I can bet on deeply, I swear
Nobody can seize our love and blessings

Work hard and give your best in studies
For you have to rise and grab every single opportunity
Whole family's benedictions and trusts are with you
May God bless you with success and may your dreams come true
